About Imogen Love
Imogen Love is an experienced holistic birth doula, birth educator, photographer and sound therapist specialising in supporting women through pregnancy, birth, postpartum and the profound transition into motherhood. Her work brings together evidence-informed birth education with a deep understanding of the body, nervous system and the emotional landscape of becoming a parent.
This work is deeply personal. Perhaps what follows will give you more of a sense of me ~ the lived experience, values, and ways of working that shape my offerings into something more personal, intuitive, and unique.

Some of my earliest memories are of being completely absorbed by the world around me. I remember falling in love with nature, with music, with ‘beautiful’ things, and especially with photographs. I could spend hours looking through our family albums, studying the faces of people I knew and the people I didn't, wondering about the lives they had lived and the moments that had been captured forever. I think I was fascinated by the feeling held inside an image as much as the image itself. Even then, I was interested in memory, in story, in the fleetingness of things.
Photography eventually became a huge part of my life. I spent more than fifteen years working in fashion advertising as a creative producer and art director, travelling, making images and building worlds around them. It was an extraordinary education in beauty and detail, but also in people. In learning how to look closely. In understanding atmosphere and feeling. In knowing that sometimes the smallest detail can completely change an experience.
And then I became a mother, and everything shifted.
I have two daughters, both born at home, and their births were very different. Both were powerful lessons that reminded me that there is no perfect way to give birth ~ only your way. This is one of the reasons I hold birth with so much openness.
I think becoming a mother, and experiencing birth for myself, changed the way I understood women. It made me much more interested in what happens beneath the surface of things. In the body, instinct, fear, trust, surrender, love. In the enormous transformation that happens when a woman becomes a mother, and in how little space we sometimes give that transformation. It was through motherhood that I found my way to doula work. What began as a deep fascination became something much more profound. For more than five years now, I have had the privilege of walking alongside women and families through some of the most intimate and significant days of their lives.
I don't think I will ever stop being moved by it.
There is something about witnessing a baby enter the world, and watching a woman meet a completely new part of herself at the same time, that still feels almost impossible to comprehend.
Outside of my work, I am happiest in simple things. Long walks. The sea. Music playing around the house. Cooking for people I love. A table full of friends. Deep conversations that go on for hours. Books. Photography. Yoga. Making things. Learning something new. Being outside. Gathering people together.
I have always loved creating spaces where people feel welcome. Our home has often been full of friends, family, food, children, laughter and conversations that stretch late into the evening. I think this instinct to gather and care for people is something I have carried for as long as I can remember.
I think all of these things are connected somehow. The little girl looking through family photographs. The teenager falling in love with making music. The years spent making images. Becoming a mother. Learning to listen to the body. Gathering people around a table. Creating a room where someone can really feel safe.
They all belong to the same thread.
A fascination with people.
With beauty.
With connection.
With the moments that change us.
And with the extraordinary, ordinary mystery of being alive.

Over five years experience providing gold standard, trauma informed expert care to women and families through pregnancy, childbirth and parenthood.
~Alongside two pregnancies and births of my own, I have lived experience of Hyperemesis Gravidarum and Postnatal Depression. Whilst I would never wish either upon anyone, these experiences allow me to meet women facing similar challenges with genuine understanding, compassion, and without judgement.
I have had the honour of supporting countless women, partners, and families over the past five+ years. Each journey has added another layer to the knowledge, experience, and wisdom I now bring to my work. Whilst no two journeys are ever the same, there are patterns, nuances, and lessons that can only be learned by walking alongside families time and time again.some of my professional trainings include:
Fully Certified and Accredited Birth Doula with BirthBliss Academy (2021)
Fully Certified and Accredited Birth Doula with Doula UK - please note I am no longer listed on Doula UK due to the widespread concern of their ethics and practice

Forever a student of life, each year I reinvest back into my work ~ through training, study, and continued learning ~ expanding my understanding of birth, the body, and human experience. Ways I can Support You
Every woman arrives here with her own story, needs, hopes, and questions.
Whether you are preparing to welcome a baby, navigating motherhood, seeking space to reconnect with yourself, or simply longing for more support, my offerings are designed to meet you where you are.
My work blends practical care, emotional support, education, photography, sound healing, and community ~ creating spaces where you can feel safe, seen, and deeply supported throughout life's most transformative seasons.
A Gentle Note:
There is no one-size-fits-all path. Some women come to me seeking a doula. Some are looking for beautiful photography sessions. Some arrive for sound healing and later discover they need deeper support through pregnancy or postpartum. You do not need to know exactly what you need before reaching out. If you're unsure where to begin, we can explore that together.

Birth is one of life's greatest transitions, and it deserves to be approached with more than information alone.
My doula support combines evidence-based education, emotional support, practical guidance, nervous system preparation, and continuous care throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. Together we prepare not only for the physical experience of birth, but also for the emotional, mental, and spiritual journey of becoming a parent.
Whether you are preparing for your first baby, welcoming another child, planning a home birth, hospital birth, birth centre birth, or caesarean birth, my role is to help you feel informed, resourced, and deeply supported every step of the way.
My approach is rooted in physiology, trust, and the understanding that birth is a full-body experience. Through education, breathwork, movement, sound, nervous system awareness, and practical preparation, I help create the conditions that allow you to feel calm, connected, and confident in your choices.
Support options include Full Bloom Doula Support, Returning Bloom Support, Caesarean Birth Support, Remote Doula Support, Soft Landings Postpartum Care, and Birth Reflection & Integration Sessions.
Alongside our time together, all doula clients receive access to my comprehensive online birth course The Birth Within - preparation library, guided audio practices, resources, and birth education materials.
You are also welcomed into a wider community of mothers and families journeying through this season alongside you.

1:1 & Group Sessions
Sound is one of the most powerful ways we can return to ourselves.
It bypasses the thinking mind and speaks directly to the nervous system, inviting the body into a state of rest, regulation, and release. In this space, we are not trying to fix or change anything ~ we are simply creating the conditions for your system to soften and reorganise itself in its own time.
My sound therapy offerings are available both as 1:1 deeply personalised sessions and small group experiences, each holding a slightly different energy while sharing the same intention: to bring you back into balance.
All bodies welcome. Session can be at home of in the Love Studio N16 -
Photography has the power to hold memories long after a season has passed.
My photography sessions are relaxed, connection-led, and designed to capture the beauty that already exists within your life ~ the quiet moments, the laughter, the tenderness, the in-between.
I specialise in pregnancy, motherhood, newborn, family, and personal branding photography, creating timeless images that feel natural, emotive, and true to you.
Before becoming a doula, I spent over fifteen years working in fashion, advertising, and creative direction, developing a deep understanding of storytelling, composition, and visual narrative. Combined with my experience supporting women and families through profound life transitions, this allows me to photograph people with sensitivity, intuition, and ease.
Whether documenting your pregnancy, the early days with your baby, your family as it grows, or imagery for your business, my goal is always the same: to create photographs that feel like you.
Limited Availability
To ensure every family receives the depth of care, attention, and continuity they deserve, I intentionally support a limited number of clients each month.
Many families choose to book with me early in pregnancy, often following their first scan, allowing us time to build trust, prepare intentionally, and create a truly personalised experience.
If you're considering working together, I recommend reaching out early to discuss availability and explore whether we're the right fit.
The Foundations of My Support
01
Presence
Often, the most transformative support comes not from having all the answers, but from being fully met in the experience.
02
Physiology & Trust
The body is intelligent, understanding our physiology allows us to work with our bodies rather than against them. Knowledge creates confidence. Trust creates softness.
03
Community and Connection
I believe healing happens in community. I believe support matters. I believe women deserve villages.
04
Holistic Care
We cannot separate the physical from the emotional, the practical from the spiritual, or the body from the mind.
Every offering I create is rooted in the understanding that wellbeing is multi-layered.
05
Nervous System Wisdom
The nervous system sits at the heart of so much of our experience. Throughout my work I weave together practices that support regulation, safety, grounding, and ease ~ helping people return to a place where they can hear their own inner wisdom more clearly.
06
Integrity & Accessibility
My work is rooted in genuine care. I believe support should feel thoughtful, honest, and deeply human.
I also believe exceptional care should not be reserved only for those with unlimited resources. Wherever possible, I strive to create offerings that honour both depth and accessibility.
